Client Case Study
The challenge of getting noticed among hundreds of companies exhibiting at Queensland’s largest permanent building display centre proved to be a relatively easy task for house renovation specialists, Porter Projects. Their bright and graphically enticing display at the Home Ideas Centre in South Brisbane stands out from the crowd – and from the moment it was installed, it has generated ongoing interest and business from people inspired to turn their home improvement dreams into reality. The striking display features large, bold images that effectively sell a contemporary lifestyle rather than a specific product, and it highlights both the company’s strong credentials and the advantages of home renovation over selling.
“The display totally met my expectations – and I set very high expectations,” according to Phil Porter of Porter Projects. “There has been a regular flow of business leads since week one, so the display is certainly doing the job, especially in a tough economic climate.”
Phil has a long-term association with design director, Pete Roddy, who was responsible for the branding and creative development and production of the display. Phil said he did not consider going anywhere else when he decided to market his specialist project management services at the Home Ideas Centre.
This highly successful project started with a clear brief from the client on the look and feel of the display. It involved the design of a visually enticing showcase of what can be achieved through attention to detail in home renovation; the development of succinct messaging that creates confidence and encourages potential clients to take the next step in realising their renovation dreams; and a close working relationship with the centre to ensure that installation of the display is quick and hassle-free.
